Automatic Cat Litter Box

If you don’t want to clean a litter box every day then an automatic cat litter box could be the thing for you. An automatic cat litter box (self cleaning box) will save you lots of trouble cleaning out the litter every day.
Another good thing is that the odour is significantly reduced by the use of robotic trays. You just have to make sure to empty the container when it’s full or the odour can be very strong. If you only have one cat you just need to empty the automatic litter box once a week. This makes it a lot easier to find a “cat caretaker” when you head for vacation. If you tell them they just have to feed the cat and nothing else most people are up for it.

How does it work?

After your kitty has used the automatic cat litter box it will wait 10 minutes and then rake the waste into a sealable container. A safety bar will automatically stop the cleaning at the slightest touch so your cat can never get harmed. Most automatic boxes can both be plugged into an outlet or used with batteries. You have to use clumping litter for these boxes.

Some bad things about these boxes are the sound they make. If you have the box nearby it can get a bit annoying. The price is also a bit higher than standard boxes but I would never give up my automatic litter box. Now I just lean back and relax when I hear the box getting to work.
